Minor members of an extremist cell were detained in Yekaterinburg
In Yekaterinburg, law enforcement agencies detained the leader and four members of a right-wing extremist cell. This was announced on February 26 by a source of Izvestia.
According to him, all the detainees are minors — they are 14 and 16 years old. During searches at their places of residence, items confirming the involvement of teenagers in attacks on residents of several districts of the city were seized.
It clarifies that the crimes were committed with the aim of harming life and health due to the ideology of hatred against representatives of other religions and nationalities. Operational measures are currently being carried out with the defendants, as a result of which a procedural decision will be made.
On February 17, law enforcement officers stopped the illegal activities of a Donetsk resident who publicly called for extremist actions. It was noted that the woman, using the Telegram messenger, repeatedly posted comments in public chats aimed at inciting violence against people singled out based on nationality.
