An Axios journalist reported a pause in the dialogue on Ukraine in Geneva
The trilateral negotiations on Ukraine in Geneva allegedly could have stalled. This was reported on February 17 by a journalist from the Axios portal, citing sources.
According to correspondent Barak Ravid, the discussion within the framework of the political working group encountered difficulties.
"Two sources familiar with the negotiations informed me that negotiations in the political working group in Geneva have stalled today," he wrote on the social network X.
At the same time, Ravid did not specify on which issues the negotiations proved difficult.
A source from Izvestia reported earlier that day that the meetings in Geneva were held in bilateral and trilateral formats and lasted about six hours. According to him, the consultations were conducted in the formats of Russian-American, Russian-Ukrainian and Russian-American-Ukrainian negotiations in a tense atmosphere. He clarified that the meetings have been completed at the moment, and the parties agreed to continue working on February 18. The head of the Ukrainian delegation, NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov did not comment on the outcome of the negotiations.
