Humennik called the Ukrainian figure skater Marsak a good guy

On February 17, Russian figure skater Pyotr Gumennik commented on the critical statements made by Ukrainian athlete Kirill Marsak during the 2026 Olympic Games.

Marsak said on February 13 that he was unable to concentrate mentally due to a lot of negative news on the eve of the competition, including the disqualification of his colleague Vladislav Geraskevich. In addition, according to the athlete, the pressure was exerted by performing one after the other with Humennik.

"Actually, we said hello before that. Kirill is actually a good guy," Sport24 quotes him as saying.

Humennik also expressed the opinion that Marsak expressed the position of the Ukrainian Figure Skating Federation.

Mikhail Shaidorov, a figure skater from Kazakhstan, became the winner among men at the 2026 Olympics on February 14. Japanese Yuma Kagiyama took second place, Japanese Shun Sato took third place, and Russian figure skater Pyotr Gumennik took sixth place.
