On February 17, Russian figure skater Pyotr Gumennik commented on the critical statements made by Ukrainian athlete Kirill Marsak during the 2026 Olympic Games.

Marsak said on February 13 that he was unable to concentrate mentally due to a lot of negative news on the eve of the competition, including the disqualification of his colleague Vladislav Geraskevich.
