Mishustin instructed to update the strategy for the development of construction and housing and communal services until 2030

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin instructed to update the strategy for the development of the construction industry and housing and communal services (housing and communal services) until 2030 by October 1 of this year. This was announced on February 17 on the website of the Government of the Russian Federation.

"The strategy for the development of the construction industry and housing and communal services until 2030, with a forecast until 2035, should be updated taking into account modern requirements for these sectors of the economy no later than October 1," the government reports.

It is specified that the Ministry of Construction was entrusted with the implementation of this task together with the federal executive authorities. The government added that they need to develop measures for the technological development of the construction industry in the fields of civil, transport, industrial and housing construction, as well as housing and communal services, including taking into account the transition to digital solutions and the need to increase labor productivity.

In addition, updating the strategy will include improving the efficiency of housing and communal services enterprises and reducing the cost of housing construction, as well as linking urban development with the transport and economic balance.

The authorities decided to increase their support to the participants of the SVO and increase investments in social services and regions.

Mishustin said on January 19 that the Russian government would allocate about 93 billion rubles in 2026 to implement an updated program for the socio-economic development of Crimea and Sevastopol. He noted that within the framework of the updated program, work will continue to improve the social and transport infrastructure: the construction of dozens of kilometers of gas and water supply networks, an increase in the length of highways and the overhaul of cultural heritage sites.
