The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked a section of highway in the Zaporizhia region with aerial bombs. As a result of the attack, a section of the Kharkiv—Simferopol—Yalta highway was damaged. On February 16, the Governor of the Zaporizhia region, Yevgeny Balitsky, announced this in his Telegram channel.

"The target of the strike by two guided aerial bombs was a section of the Kharkiv—Simferopol—Yalta highway. As a result of the fall of ammunition, the asphalt surface of the road was partially damaged," the report says.

It is noted that no one was injured as a result of the incident. Balitsky expressed gratitude to the air defense units that ensure the security of the region.

It is noted that there is no threat to the movement of vehicles. The damaged area will be promptly repaired. The governor urged citizens to remain calm and rely only on official sources of information.
