"The lack of support from loved ones, such as my mother, who, unfortunately, is now blocked by me, is exhausting. We haven't spoken for several months now. I started to get sick from her conversations, demands and claims. But, thank God, I have two more children. I feel a moral obligation to put them on their feet. We have a great relationship, they support me. This duty drives me, I want Sasha, the youngest, to pass the exam well and enter the university. That's why I don't get bored," Ekaterina Volkova said.

Professional activity has become a special way for the actress to overcome personal difficulties. Volkova stressed that the realization of the impossibility of living "according to one's heart" due to obligations breaks a person more than any external conditions. She noted that the transformation of her views over the past year has led to an understanding of the importance of her own life. The actress came to the conclusion that excessive sacrifice in the name of others often does not justify itself, and now she is learning not to put her interests in the last place.

"I think the realization that you don't live according to your heart, but according to your mind, breaks you the most and in any conditions. Because love is love, and duty is duty. And at some point you realize that this state of affairs is wrong, but it's being done in the name of something - it's a sacrifice. That's the hardest part," said the artist.

Creative plans and career

In addition to her film career, Volkova is actively developing a musical project. According to her, music fills her emotionally.

The artist shared that she is preparing to release a new song and plans to record an album. Her next performance is scheduled for February 24. Volkova admitted that it is difficult to combine different types of art, but music serves as a necessary outlet for her, in which she can act as a director and screenwriter of her own story.

"I can no longer distinguish between where I am an actress and where I am not an actress. There's still a lot of acting in both music and my writing. Each song is a plot, a game story related to my personal pain, experience or happiness, which I broadcast through the melody. Music is freedom for me, where I am a director and screenwriter myself. My concerts are always my day, what I live by and what I broadcast to this world. I always want to bring more goodness to people, give them hope, faith, and love. And I think I'm good at it," she confessed.
