The Foreign Ministry said Kiev ignored Russia's proposal to create a control center.
Ukraine has not responded to Russia's proposal to establish a bilateral center for monitoring and control of the ceasefire regime. This was announced on February 15 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.
"At the same time, Kiev has left unanswered our proposals to improve the effectiveness of the negotiation process by creating a bilateral center for monitoring and controlling the ceasefire regime, working groups to resolve military, political and humanitarian issues," said Galuzin.
According to him, there was also no reaction to the willingness to raise the level of heads of delegations. Galuzin clarified that the Istanbul format of negotiations was not officially closed, and Russia did not withdraw from the process. He recalled that three rounds of consultations were held in 2025, but in November last year, Ukraine announced the termination of negotiations due to lack of progress, which, according to the Russian diplomat, looks strange.
A new trilateral meeting of Russia, the United States and Ukraine to resolve the crisis will be held on February 17-18 in Geneva. Switzerland has officially confirmed its readiness to host the state. According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the Russian delegation at the talks will be led by Vladimir Medinsky, assistant to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, announced on February 14 that Trump intends to conclude a peace agreement to resolve the conflict in Ukraine in one big package.
