Avant-garde artist, local historian and activist Oleg Radin, who founded the AYA creative gallery in Kursk, died at the age of 71. This was announced on Thursday evening, February 12, by Alexander Khinshtein, Governor of the Kursk region.
"Sad and very difficult news. The artist Oleg Radin is gone," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Radin considered painting, as the head of the region clarified, not just a hobby, but his whole life. While painting, he devoted himself to this cause, which, embodied in canvases, resonated in the souls of other people.
Having devoted the years of his life to perpetuating the memory of the Russian and Soviet artist and art theorist Kazimir Malevich, Radin organized exhibitions, performances, lectures, and creative meetings.
