The IOC intends to follow the rules in the situation with the helmet of the Ukrainian Geraskevich

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will comply with the rules regarding the helmet of Ukrainian athlete Vladislav Geraskevich. This was announced on February 11 by IOC Communications Director Mark Adams.

This is how he commented on the situation in which Geraskevich stated that he plans to perform in a special helmet with photos of dead athletes at the 2026 Olympics in Italy, but did not receive permission from the committee - using such an accessory violates the rules.

Adams stressed that the IOC does not consider it useful to talk about hypothetical scenarios, including the possible disqualification of an athlete.

"There are rules and regulations, and the athletes themselves want us to follow them. So we will follow the rules," he said.
