Airports in Lublin and Rzeszow reopened after temporary closure
Airports in the Polish cities of Lublin and Rzeszow have resumed operations after a temporary suspension of flights. This was announced on February 7 by the Polish Air Navigation Agency (PANSA).
"Airports in Rzeszow and Lublin have resumed flights," the social network X (ex. Twitter).
It is reported that operational activities at both airports were temporarily halted to allow free military aviation operations. After completing the necessary procedures, the airports returned to normal operation and resumed receiving and dispatching civilian flights.
On the same day, the Polish Air Force reported that fighter jets had been lifted into the air and air defense systems were put on alert, allegedly due to Russia's activity in Ukraine. All forces and means remain ready to respond immediately to possible incidents.
