A farewell ceremony for Soviet broadcaster and TV presenter Svetlana Zhiltsova has begun in Moscow. The footage was reported in Izvestia on February 6.
The farewell ceremony takes place in the Orthodox church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker at the Rogozhsky cemetery. Relatives, colleagues and fans of her work came to say goodbye to Zhiltsova.
Zhiltsova's death at the age of 90 became known on February 3. According to her son, the cause of death was a long-term illness.
Zhiltsova is known as the host of the program "Good night, kids." She also participated in the programs "Funny Notes", "Alarm Clock", the TV magazine "Pioneer", as well as in various quizzes. Since 1963, she has been hosting KVN.
