An explosion in one of the mosques in Islamabad killed at least 10 people and injured 80 others. This was reported by the Xinhua news Agency on February 6, citing police officials.

"A bomb exploded in a mosque in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, killing 10 people and injuring more than 80," the article says.

The video attached to the article shows dozens of people standing near a partially destroyed building. Alarmed voices of eyewitnesses of the tragedy can be heard in the background.

Police spokesman Zafar Iqbal, speaking to Reuters, clarified that it is currently impossible to determine the exact number of victims of the incident, as well as to qualify the explosion itself. He clarified that law enforcement officers are currently working at the scene of the incident.

The explosion at Islamabad's Khadija Tul Kubra Mosque in Tarlai Kalan district became known on the same day. It was noted that the suicide bomber tried to get into the building, but he was stopped by the guards, which could not prevent the tragedy - the shell nevertheless detonated and caused significant damage to the structure of the main gate.
