The widow of People's Artist of the USSR Alexei Batalov, Gitana Leontenko, died last week. This was announced to Izvestia on February 5 by a family friend, Vladimir Ivanov.

It is specified that the actress was 90 years old. The causes of her death are unknown.

According to Ivanov, Leontenko's funeral will take place tomorrow, she will be buried at the Preobrazhensky cemetery, and her husband is also buried there.

Leontenko was born in 1935. From a young age, she connected her life with circus art: since 1944, she performed in a gypsy circus group with plastic performances, and later, in 1950, she began working as a dancer on a horse.
