A water tower was stolen from the Polenov Estate museum in the Tula region.
In the Tula region, a water tower was stolen from the Polenovo Museum-Reserve on the territory of the estate of artist Vasily Polenov. This was reported on February 5 in the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.
According to preliminary data, the object of the state museum was illegally removed from the territory of the estate located in the Zaoksky district. A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 3 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Embezzlement").
The department clarified that searches are currently underway, as well as interrogations of witnesses in the case to establish all the circumstances of the violation.
Last December, unknown assailants robbed the museum of Napoleon's last headquarters in the Belgian commune of Genap. It was noted that a gold diamond ring belonging to Napoleon, as well as gold and silver coins of the Napoleonic era, were missing from the museum.
