The Federal Antimonopoly Service will study the pricing of the most popular types of bread

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) is going to check the pricing of the most popular and sought-after types of bread among Russians. This was announced on February 4 by the press service of the department.

"Based on the information received, the agency will examine the validity of setting wholesale and selling prices for bread and bakery products made from wheat and rye flour by regional market participants," the statement on the service's website says.

The Service has already sent instructions to its territorial administrations. According to the FAS, the financial and economic indicators of bread producers and organizations that sell products for 2025 will be analyzed. If violations are detected, the FAS will take antimonopoly response measures.
