One of the members of the Russian pop group Ivanushki International was mentioned in the personal correspondence of American financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sexual crimes and human trafficking. This is reported in published documents on the website of the US Department of Justice.

In a letter addressed to Epstein and made public on January 31, the woman asked for help in organizing her participation in the Paris Fashion Week shows. Explaining her request, she gave a personal story from her childhood. The author of the letter recalled how in 1995, at the age of six, she was at a small event in Ukraine, where one of the show's participants, a "cute model guy," jokingly told her that he would "marry her when she grows up." In 2012, she wrote to Epstein that this man had become a famous pop singer in the Russian band Ivanushki International.

On February 3, it became known that the name of Alla Pugacheva was mentioned in Epstein's files. It was noted that the letter mentioning her was sent on January 13, 2014 and was called "Mission accomplished for some." It was a complete reprint of an article from The Times called "Revealed: the world's most admired people," in which Pugacheva was mentioned as one of Russia's most respected women.
