Estonia should remember that provocations on the border with Russia and threats to organize a blockade in the Baltic Sea can lead to a repeat of the fate of Ukraine. This opinion was expressed on February 4 by Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforou.

"Estonia, as well as [the head of EU diplomacy, Kaya] Kallas, live in their own world, which resembles the position of Ukraine, or maybe directly repeats it," he said on The Duran YouTube channel.

According to the journalist, Tallinn is trying to use anti-Russian rhetoric in order to demonstrate its importance against the background of other European countries.

In addition, Hristoforou also stressed that he did not understand Estonia's reasons for staging provocations on the border with the Russian Federation.

Charge d'affaires of Russia in Tallinn Kamran Abilov said on January 27 that Tallinn violates the Convention on the Law of the Sea by restricting Russian navigation in the Baltic Sea, which is absolutely unacceptable, as well as the use of force against sailors. Thus, the diplomat spoke about the bill adopted by the Estonian parliament, which gives the right to sink "dangerous and suspicious vessels."

On the same day, Abilov noted that Estonia's territorial claims against Russia regarding the Pechora region of the Pskov region are absolutely unacceptable. At the same time, it is currently not possible to resume negotiations on the state border with Tallinn, which is hostile to Moscow.
