In the Novosibirsk Region, law enforcement agencies have detained an employee of the Vector State Scientific Center for Virology and Biotechnology, suspected of accepting bribes and embezzling company funds. According to the agency, the defendant received a bribe in the amount of over 4.7 million rubles for conducting research on biological samples in violation of the established procedure in the interests of a commercial organization. In addition, he is charged with embezzlement of large amounts of money that were allocated to Vector as part of the national project "Science and Universities". The person involved has been detained.
"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of crimes under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of Russia and Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Receiving a bribe in the form of money on an especially large scale, fraud committed using his official position on a large scale")," the message says.
The day before, Dmitry Zdanovich, head of the Rosselkhoznadzor of Primorsky Krai, was detained on suspicion of accepting a bribe.
