A teenager who was preparing sabotage at facilities was detained in the Arkhangelsk region.

A criminal case has been opened in the Arkhangelsk Region against a teenager accused of preparing for sabotage and participating in a terrorist organization. This was reported on February 3 in the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the region and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug in the Telegram channel.

It is noted that a 15-year-old resident of Onega is accused of committing crimes under articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on terrorist activities and preparation for sabotage. According to the investigation, the teenager has been involved in the activities of an international terrorist organization banned in Russia since the end of 2025. For a fee, he was looking for people to set fire to transport infrastructure facilities in the Onega district.

The ministry clarified that the teenager's illegal actions were stopped by FSB officers. His house was searched, communications equipment and other items were seized for further investigation. The court has chosen a preventive measure for him in the form of detention. Investigative actions are currently underway, witnesses are being questioned, and expert examinations have also been ordered.

In case of repeated crimes, they are offered to be carried out through criminal law emancipation.

Earlier that day, it became known that a foreigner had been detained who was going to set off an explosion at an energy infrastructure facility in the Moscow Region, and then leave to participate in hostilities against the Russian Federation. According to the FSB, the defendant was recruited by a member of a terrorist organization through the Telegram messenger, on whose instructions he arrived in Russia to commit sabotage using an improvised explosive device.
