The scammers stole over 1 billion rubles in compensation payments for technical rehabilitation equipment. This was announced on February 3 by the head of the GUEBiPK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Police Lieutenant General Andrei Kurnosenko.

"The activity of an interregional organized group has been suppressed. <...> The preliminary damage may exceed 1 billion rubles," he said in an interview with TASS.
