The concept of a rule-based world order has always been an illusion, but in reality, the right of the strong was at work. This was announced on February 2 by the head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, at a security conference in Oslo, broadcast on the DRM News YouTube channel.

"There is an opinion that the rule—based world order is an illusion. It's always been the law of the jungle—whoever has the power will take whatever he wants. But even in the jungle, animals cooperate, and I believe we should develop an international order with countries that want it," Callas said.

She stressed that such an order is a form of protection for small States.

"If it doesn't work, they have no cover," she added.

Political scientist Andrey Kortunov reported on January 16 that the return of the US global hegemony of the model of the middle or the end of the 20th century is an unrealistic scenario. The political scientist believes that the new world order will not be multipolar in the classical sense, but polycentric, where not only major powers, but also regional leaders, as well as medium and small states that insist on their subjectivity, will play an active role.
