Russian Mikhail Yemelyanov, who went missing in the Thai resort city of Pattaya in early January, has been found dead. This was reported on February 1 by the Pattaya police.

"The body was found in the Banglamung administrative district in Pattaya. He (Yemelyanov — Ed.) was abducted on January 7," RIA Novosti quoted the statement of the city police department.

It is specified that the man was first killed, then his body was dismembered, and the body parts were buried in different places.

Currently, the police have detained one suspect, who turned out to be a foreign citizen. The search for the remaining defendants in the case continues.

Yemelyanov left for a meeting with business partners, citizens of Thailand and the Russian Federation, on January 7. His family, including his mother, who was in Russia, knew about the meeting. On the same day, the Russian disappeared, and Yemelyanov's mother came to Thailand to search for her son.

On the same day, information appeared that the suspects in the crime, probably citizens of the Russian Federation, had been detained. The corresponding video was published at the same time by representatives of the Rosgvardiya of the Krasnodar Territory.
