The meeting of representatives of Russia, Ukraine and the United States, scheduled for February 1 in Abu Dhabi, may be canceled. This was reported by the Reuters news agency.

The agency refers to a recent statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who noted that Kiev is awaiting additional information from Washington on further steps in the negotiation process and hopes for new meetings next week.

The agency recalls that the previous consultations between the parties took place a week ago. There has been no official confirmation of the postponement of the meeting yet.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on January 28 that negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict in Abu Dhabi would continue on February 1. In addition, the Kremlin positively assessed the beginning of direct contacts between Moscow and Kiev. At the same time, the spokesman said that the negotiations on Ukraine in Abu Dhabi turned out to be very difficult and sensitive.

Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said on January 29 that no security guarantees had been agreed between Ukraine and Russia. In addition, he noted that the territorial issue is one of the main issues in the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
