Deputies of the State Duma (DG) from the LDPR faction have introduced a bill proposing to oblige notaries to videotape all real estate transactions. This was reported on January 1 in the Telegram channel of the faction.

"Deputies of the LDPR faction in the State Duma, led by the chairman of the party Leonid Slutsky, proposed to oblige notaries to carry out video recording when certifying all real estate transactions, as well as to store all the footage as evidence, taking into account the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution under articles related to fraud in this area," the report says.

The bill was submitted to the State Duma on February 1, 2026. The authors of the initiative emphasize that the measure is aimed at protecting citizens from fraud in the field of real estate transactions.
