The Ministry of Defense has expanded the list of diseases prohibiting a contract in wartime

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov has signed an order expanding the list of diseases in which citizens who are only fit for military service will not be able to sign a contract in conditions of mobilization, martial law or wartime. The relevant document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information on January 30.

According to the new order, the list of diseases has been increased from 26 to 35. The updated list includes, in particular, diseases such as diabetes mellitus (including all types).

In addition, the list includes diseases associated with congenital malformations and damage to large vessels. The effects of fractures of the spine and long bones with impaired limb function have also been added.
