NATO has cut off all contacts with Russia, and Moscow has only an emergency communication channel. This was announced on January 29 by Vladislav Maslennikov, Director of the Department of European Problems at the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"In 2022, the alliance cut off all contacts with us. There is only an emergency communication channel left," he said in an interview with TASS.

The diplomat noted that since 2014, NATO, on its own initiative, has practically frozen the dialogue with Moscow. If discussions took place, the alliance mainly focused on the conflict in Ukraine, and Russian initiatives to de-escalate military tensions in Europe were not perceived, Maslennikov noted.
