Akatnova: from February 1, Russians over the age of 80 will begin to receive a pension supplement

Starting from February 1, 2026, Russians over the age of 80 will begin to receive an indexed supplement to a fixed insurance pension. This was announced to TASS on January 29 by Associate Professor of the K. N. Gusov Department of Labor Law and Social Security Law at O. E. Kutafin University (MGUA). Maria Akatnova.
It is specified that from January 1, 2026, the amount of the fixed payment to the old-age insurance pension was increased by 7.6% and now amounts to 9 584.69 rubles. For pensioners over the age of 80, the increased fixed payment will amount to 19,169.38 rubles. This increase is stipulated by law, Akatnova explained.
