At a meeting on January 28, the Federation Council will consider the issue of early termination of the powers of Senator Alexander Weinberg, who filed an application of his own volition. This was announced on January 27 by Vyacheslav Timchenko, head of the Federation Council Committee on regulations.
"Senator Alexander Weinberg has submitted an application for early resignation at his own request, this is his right," Timchenko told RIA Novosti.
He added that the Federation Council will consider this issue on Wednesday.
