- The Liberal Democratic Party proposed to consolidate the duty of guardianship to help families in difficult situations
Guardianship authorities should primarily provide assistance and support to families in overcoming difficult life circumstances that create appropriate destructive conditions for the child. This was announced on Tuesday, January 27, by Maria Voropayeva, head of the LDPR deputy association in the Moscow City Duma.
"The proposal is to supplement Article 73 of the Family Code of the Russian Federation. If the difficult life circumstances of a family, such as emergency housing, create difficult conditions for a child, the first and main responsibility of the guardianship authorities should be to help parents overcome these circumstances," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The agency's interlocutor said that during her recent work trip to Yaroslavl, she visited a family where a disabled boy is being raised and who lives in an emergency house with cracks and dampness. Resettlement from this housing is planned only in 2032, and currently, to bathe the child, his mother heats the water on the stove, using a tub.
