Former employees of the Investigative Committee (IC) and the Federal Security Service (FSB) received from 14 to 19 years in prison in the case of the attempted seizure of the Merlion company. This was reported on January 26 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
Lawyer Vadim Lyalin was sentenced to 14 years in a high-security penal colony and banned from holding public service positions for a period of five years. During the reading of the verdict, the ex-lawyer fainted.
