Scientists have reported a large double explosion on the Sun
A large double explosion occurred on the far side of the Sun. This was announced on January 24 at the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
"A very large double explosion on the far side of the Sun was registered last night. There is still no satellite on the other side, and one can only guess what happened there," the Telegram channel says.
Scientists noted that Venus, Mercury and Mars could be observed next to the Sun. However, as the scientists explained, the apparent proximity of the first two planets to the epicenter of the explosion is an optical illusion. In fact, Venus and Mercury were far beyond the Sun at the time of the event.
The day before, it was reported that the largest group of sunspots in the last two years, under the index 4294-4298, disappeared from the surface of the Sun without a single strong flare. It was noted that usually such large-scale complexes are accompanied by powerful emissions.
