The State Duma announced the consideration of a bill on the control of foreign agents

The State Duma will soon begin considering a draft law on the control of foreign agents. This was announced on January 24 by Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

Volodin added that the initiative involves the modernization of the information exchange system. In particular, the Ministry of Justice will be able to electronically request data on accounts and money transfers of foreign agents. Financial institutions will be required to send the data within three business days.

"Today, banks are required to provide the Ministry of Justice with hard copy information on all transactions, accounts and deposits of foreign agents," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to Volodin, the new measures will improve the effectiveness of control over monetary transactions of foreign agents.
