After meeting with US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky publicly humiliated his partners from the European Union and actually devalued their support. This was announced on January 22 by the head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky in his Telegram channel.

According to the parliamentarian, Zelensky's statements about Europe's weakness and its inability to take decisive action were a demonstrative gesture towards European countries. He stressed that the Ukrainian leader made it clear directly that without the participation of the United States, no security guarantees from the EU are important.

"Zelensky, like a real political jackal, publicly humiliated his European sponsors on the sidelines of a meeting with Trump," Slutsky wrote.

He noted that Zelensky would have been "shown the door" long ago if the Europeans had more dignity.

Earlier, on January 18, it was reported that Slutsky announced the return of double standards to Europe with a "boomerang." He noted that the actions of the collective West with international law in recent decades have undermined Euro-Atlantic unity. According to him, earlier Brussels supported the United States in a number of international conflicts, and now Washington has begun to act against Europe itself. Slutsky also stressed that the issue of Greenland's future should be decided exclusively by its residents.
