President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said on January 20 that he did not consider the current negotiations with the United States to be deadlocked.

"I don't see a dead end yet. They are working on documents. <...> As for the conversations, they are constant, and definitely not about a dead end," RBC—Ukraine quoted him as saying on the Telegram channel.

According to him, the Ukrainian side maintains constant communication with the American side. Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, the president added, is in constant contact with Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner.

Zelensky announced on the same day that he was ready to meet with Trump, setting out a number of conditions, although the American side has not yet announced plans for such talks. According to him, any meetings with the United States should lead to concrete practical results — decisions to strengthen Ukraine in the field of security and energy, or steps aimed at ending the conflict.

Earlier in the day, the Axios portal reported that the expected signing of the plan for the restoration of Ukraine between Zelensky and Trump during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos was canceled.
