The court granted the claim of actor Sergei Bezrukov to the seller of masks with his face

The Khamovnicheskiy District Court of Moscow granted the claim of People's Artist of Russia Sergey Bezrukov to an individual entrepreneur from the Belgorod region who sold masks with his face on marketplaces, and recovered 200 thousand rubles from her. This was reported on January 20 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

In addition, the entrepreneur was charged 3,000 rubles for compensation of legal costs. The actor's representative asked to determine the amount of compensation at the discretion of the court.

The defendant pleaded guilty and said that the masks had been withdrawn from sale.

The artist has filed a lawsuit and is asking for moral compensation from the seller.

Bezrukov's appeal to the court with a claim against an individual entrepreneur became known on November 24 last year. Then the actor asked not only to prohibit the individual entrepreneur from distributing his personal data on the Internet, but also to collect compensation for moral damage from the defendant.

In December last year, Bezrukov demanded compensation in the amount of 500 thousand rubles from the entrepreneur. In November, in an interview with Izvestia, he stated that using a person's name and image for commercial purposes without his consent was unacceptable. According to the artist, in such situations, everyone has the right to personal data protection.
