- FT learned about the change in the agenda of EU leaders at a meeting with Trump in Davos
The leaders of the European Union (EU) countries are getting rid of their materials on Ukraine before meeting with US President Donald Trump at the International Economic Forum in Davos, changing the agenda to Greenland. This was reported on January 19 by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper, citing sources.
"EU leaders and their delegations, who are going to meet Trump and American officials <...> in Davos, are tearing up analytical materials on Ukraine and replacing them with <...> "sticks and carrots" — how Brussels will react in the event of duties [due to Greenland], and with it proposals reduce tension," the article says.
