In Russia, they proposed to deprive the rights for xenon and flashing brake lights
Responsibility for the illegal modification of car headlights and exhaust systems in Russia can be significantly increased, up to the deprivation of a driver's license for up to six months or a fine of 30,000 rubles. The National Automobile Union (NAS) has made a corresponding proposal to the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
The appeal notes that WE regularly receive complaints about cars with abnormal lighting devices, including xenon and LED lamps, as well as cars with modified exhaust systems. The union believes that the current measures of responsibility — a warning or a fine of 500 rubles — do not have a deterrent effect.
"This problem is really massive: on marketplaces, LED lamps cost from 30 rubles apiece, and such products have thousands of customer reviews. For example, a set of LED fog lights for Lada cars costs 1,478 rubles and has almost 7 thousand reviews," the letter says, quoted by TASS.
We stressed that such changes are directly prohibited by the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union and pose a threat to road safety. The Union proposed to consider the possibility of amending the Administrative Code, providing for tougher sanctions for such violations.
On January 9, amendments to the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation came into force in the Russian Federation, which established new sanctions for violations of safety rules when transporting children. Now the imposition of an administrative fine on the driver will amount to 5 thousand rubles (previously - 3 thousand rubles); on officials — 50 thousand rubles (previously — 25 thousand rubles); on legal entities — 200 thousand rubles (previously — 100 thousand rubles).
