Two people died from carbon monoxide poisoning in the Penza region
In the Kolyshleisky district of the Penza region, two people died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning in an apartment building. This was announced on January 19 by a source of Izvestia.
The incident occurred in a two-storey residential building with 16 apartments, located in the village of Kolyshley on Zheleznodorozhnaya Street. According to preliminary data, the cause of poisoning was the lack of draft in the chimney.
As a result, residents of four apartments were poisoned by carbon monoxide. A total of nine people were injured, including one child. Two people have died, and there are no children among the dead.
The circumstances of the incident are being established.
The press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Saratov region reported six deaths, presumably as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning. A criminal case was opened into the incident in accordance with Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence to two or more persons").
