The video of the destruction of the HIMARS MLRS of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region was shown by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation

Russian military personnel using drones destroyed a moving launcher of the multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) HIMARS of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Chernihiv region. The footage of the strike was published on January 16 by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 16.

According to the agency, the HIMARS installation was discovered by intelligence near the village of Khlopyaniki. The calculation of the Geran unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the troops of the unmanned systems as part of the North group of forces struck the enemy launcher at the moment of its movement.

"As a result of the strike, a secondary detonation of the ammunition and the ignition of the installation were observed," the ministry said.

During an attempt to evacuate the enemy crew of the multiple launch rocket system, the operator of the Geran UAV struck the target again, as a result of which the launcher was finally destroyed along with the crew of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the same day, the ministry reported that over the past week, Russian military personnel had carried out a massive and six group strikes against military targets in Ukraine. In particular, the Russian Army hit enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC), energy facilities, as well as transport and port infrastructure, which were used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
