Oracle Corporation co-founder Larry Ellison renamed his yacht Izanami after he discovered that when mirrored, the name could be perceived as extremist, claiming that the owner allegedly belonged to the Nazis. This was reported on January 16 by The New York Post.

Initially, the ship was named after the Shinto goddess of Japanese mythology, but later Ellison decided to change the yacht's name to Ronin. Shortly after, the businessman sold the 58-meter vessel to Venezuelan banker Victor Vargas.

Later, the yacht changed hands and was taken over by Italian entrepreneur Alessandro Del Bono. Currently, the vessel continues to be operated under the name Ronin.

On September 10, 2017, Bloomberg reported that Ellison became the first in the list of the richest people on the planet, overtaking American entrepreneur Elon Musk. Thanks to the growth of the company's quotations on the stock exchange, which increased by almost 40%, the entrepreneur's fortune grew to $393 billion.
