Rescuers have been trying for about two weeks to rescue a red-haired cat stuck in the chimney of an apartment building on Tchaikovsky Street in St. Petersburg. This was announced on January 14 by the Koshkispas Animal Rescue Service in St. Petersburg and the region.

"We paid another official visit to the apartment on Tchaikovsky Street. The cat, tellingly, refused to meet," the message on the Telegram channel says.

It is specified that specialists have placed food and a cat shelter in the chimney shaft, but the animal still does not come out to people. Rescuers repeatedly tried to get the cat through the roof of the house, and also lured him with food and toys. As noted in the rescue service, even after three hours of attempts to establish contact, the cat did not pick up and moved to a nearby ventilation shaft.

A source from Izvestia reported on December 4, 2025, that in Moscow, a pregnant cat named Milasha fell from the 29th floor, but thanks to the help of people, she survived and was able to give birth to two kittens. The fall was witnessed by veterinarian Yulia Kudrya, who immediately ran up to the cat, quickly assessed its condition, carefully put it in a box and helped deliver the animal to the clinic.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
