Krasnodar Airport suspended flight service due to heavy snowfall
Krasnodar Airport has temporarily stopped receiving and dispatching aircraft due to worsening weather conditions. This was announced on January 12 by the press service of the air harbor.
"Due to increased heavy snowfall in Krasnodar and insufficient coefficient of adhesion on the runway, Krasnodar Airport suspended flight services to clear the airfield until 15:00 (with a possible extension)," the Krasnodar Airport Telegram channel says.
A comprehensive cleaning of the airfield infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, apron and forecourt, is currently underway. All airport services have been switched to an enhanced mode of operation and continue to treat coatings with special reagents. Passengers are asked to take into account schedule changes and keep up-to-date information on their flights.
Airline representatives and service personnel work in the terminal to provide the necessary assistance to waiting passengers. There are also waiting rooms, a mother and child room, and free drinking water is available.
On the same day, it was reported about the introduction of time restrictions on flights at the airports of Volgograd and Gelendzhik. Later it became known that they had been removed.
