Zakharova: organizers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on the Voronezh region will be punished

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on January 11 that the organizers and perpetrators of the strike on the Voronezh Region and other regions of the Russian Federation would be inevitably punished.

"The Kiev regime has once again demonstrated its inhuman Nazi nature by committing another bloody crime. The Russian Foreign Ministry strongly condemns these acts of terrorism," Zakharova said on the agency's official website.

The diplomat also stressed the need for international organizations to give an objective and impartial assessment of the incident.

A day earlier, the Governor of the Voronezh Region, Alexander Gusev, announced the death of a woman and damage to residential buildings, a gymnasium and administrative buildings during an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the region. On January 10, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that in three hours, from 20:00 to 23:00 Moscow time, air defense systems destroyed 33 UAVs over the regions of Russia. At that time, 17 vehicles were intercepted over the territory of the Voronezh Region, eight over the Kursk region, five over the Bryansk Region and three over the Belgorod region.
