The President of Cuba declared the country's readiness to defend itself

On January 11, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel declared the country's readiness to defend its sovereignty in response to external pressure from the United States.

"Cuba is a free, independent and sovereign state. No one tells us what to do. Cuba is not attacking; the United States has been attacking it for 66 years, and it does not threaten; it is <...> ready to defend its homeland to the last drop of blood," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
