- The collections of the film "Pinocchio" for the New Year holidays exceeded 2 billion rubles
The film "Pinocchio" has surpassed the mark of 2 billion rubles in total box office receipts at the Russian box office. This is evidenced by the data for January 11 on the website of the Unified Automated Information System of the Cinema Foundation.
The total collections of the film since its release, including pre-sales and special screenings, amounted to more than 2.06 billion rubles. The film continues to be shown in cinemas across the country.
At the pre-sale stage, viewers purchased tickets worth 185.7 million rubles, and on the day of the premiere, the box office reached 227.5 million rubles. In the first weekend, sales exceeded 1.56 billion rubles, and in the second weekend, the film collected another 448.4 million rubles.
The main roles in the film were played by Vitaly Kornienko (Pinocchio), Alexander Yatsenko (Papa Carlo), Anastasia Talyzina (Malvina), Mark Edelstein (Artemon), Victoria Isakova and Alexander Petrov (Alice the Fox and Basilio the Cat), Svetlana Nemolyaeva (Tortilla) and Fedor Bondarchuk (Karabas Barabas).
Viewers of "Pinocchio" on January 6 noted that attention to the picture is riveted by plot twists, vivid images, special effects and fascinating acting. Judging by the numerous reviews, the relationship between Papa Carlo and Pinocchio plays a special role in the film. And of course, people pay attention to the good old songs and music by Alexey Rybnikov, who took part in the work on the new film.
The film was released right on the occasion of the half-century anniversary of the premiere of the Soviet film. The audience's interest turned out to be so high that cinemas had to introduce additional sessions.
