The State Duma recalled that the deadline for payment for housing and communal services will change in the Russian Federation.

Starting from March 1, the deadline for payment for housing and communal services in Russia will be postponed from the 10th to the 15th of the month. Sergey Kolunov, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services, recalled this on January 11.

"Very soon, on March 1, a law will come into force that shifts the deadline for payment for housing and communal services by five days in advance. Accordingly, Russians will be able to pay for housing and communal services until the 15th of each month," Kolunov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to the parliamentarian, the adoption of the law is aimed at supporting citizens, since a large number of Russians receive salaries in the period from the 12th to the 15th of the month. Thus, the new law will allow people to avoid delays and penalties.
