Three bobsledders from the USA fell out of a sled at the World Cup in St. Moritz
On January 11, three American bobsledders fell out of a sled during a race at the World Cup in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
The crew, consisting of Christopher Horn, Ryan Rager, Hunter Powell and Caleb Furnell, did not start well and could not get into the sleigh on time. As a result, they lost control on the first turn, three of the athletes fell out of the bob: one hit his head on the side, the second flew off the track and hit his back on a wooden structure, and the third, trying to stay on, also fell out of the sled.
The pilot, who was left alone, managed to complete the descent, while hitting the sides throughout the route.
The stage in St. Moritz takes place simultaneously with the European Championship. This is one of the last opportunities for athletes to earn points for the overall World Cup and Olympic qualification.
Journalist Chris Johnston reported yesterday that the first match was stopped at the Santa Julia hockey arena of the 2026 Olympic Games (OI-2026) in Milan due to a hole in the ice. The game between the clubs was held as part of the Italian Cup semi-finals. The match had to be interrupted.
