The issue of timely elimination of the consequences of the snowfall that hit the territory of Primorsky Krai is controlled by the regional prosecutor's office. If it turns out that the responsible persons worked inefficiently, measures will be taken. This was reported on January 10 in the press service of the department.
"The Prosecutor's Office has put under control the issues of timely elimination of the consequences of snowfall in the region. <...> In case of detection of facts of failure to take proper measures or a formal approach on the part of responsible authorities and officials, the supervisory authority will take exhaustive measures of prosecutorial response," the Telegram channel says.
It is emphasized that representatives of the Primorsky Krai Prosecutor's office are also monitoring the situation with the provision of necessary forces and means by responsible persons in the fight against snow.
Experts from the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia reported on the same day that a record amount of precipitation fell in Moscow on January 9 in the entire history of meteorological observations in the city. Against this background, representatives of Aeroflot announced that they were making adjustments to the flight schedule at Sheremetyevo Airport. Tourists waiting for their flights told Izvestia that passengers on transit flights had begun settling in hotels at this airline.
On the eve of the evening, the deputy mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping, Peter Biryukov, reported that about 130,000 people and over 15,000 pieces of equipment were involved in snow removal in the capital.
