28 flights were canceled at Moscow airports due to heavy snowfall, and more than 50 more were delayed. This was announced on January 9 by the press service of Rostransnadzor in its Telegram channel.
According to the agency, four flights were canceled at Domodedovo Airport and 12 flights were delayed for more than two hours, 24 flights were canceled at Vnukovo and 26 were delayed, 18 flights were delayed at Sheremetyevo and two were sent to alternate airfields, and one flight was delayed at Zhukovsky. Inspectors who are on duty at all airports of the Moscow transport hub note that there are no mass gatherings of passengers in the terminals.
"Airlines and airports ensure that passengers are provided with legally prescribed services such as meals and accommodation for long delays," the ministry stressed.
