The new anti-Russian sanctions proposed by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham (listed in the Russian Federation as terrorists and extremists) and approved by US President Donald Trump will damage the American economy. This was announced by international security expert Mark Episkopos.

The expert called the potential adoption of a bill on sanctions, which implies the start of an economic war against the People's Republic of China (PRC) and India, if they do not end relations with the Russian Federation, a bluff. He responded accordingly to Graham's message posted on the same social network, which states that the head of the White House, after productive negotiations, approved the draft on sanctions against the Russian Federation.

Graham announced on January 8 that a vote on the adoption of the sanctions bill should take place next week. Official Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) China's Mao Ning said on January 8 that Beijing opposes new US anti-Russian sanctions, as its cooperation with Moscow in the energy sector does not affect any third party.
